More and more people are wishing to go into business for themselves.  There is a myriad of opportunities for you to choose from.  These choices can make your decision burdensome, discouraging and may even cause you to re-think your decision.  Going it alone is truly frightening and can create a great deal of apprehension and controversy within the family.  The failure rate of these types of businesses is great and many people have lost small fortunes in trying to make them succeed.  Franchises have become exceedingly popular since the promise of support and guidance is so attractive.  But franchises also include heavy obligations such as large start-up costs, royalty fees and other limitations which can cause friction and disillusionment.  So, what other options are available to those interested in starting their own business?

The following information will provide you with topics that must be considered before jumping into your own business as well as solutions to some of the problems that you will face.

5. Can I sell my products and services?

6. Do I have a business plan designed and know exactly what, how and when I will operate my business?

7. Do I have enough funding to open, operate and pay my living expenses until I become profitable?

8. Do I have the support of the other members of my family?
